Peppina Sales was founded by Guido Mehl in 1968, who began selling a product known as Spotkleen. Soon after this Peppina Sales acquired the sole distribution rights for Tai-Ginseng, a German-owned tonic, which is still on the market today. In 1979, Peppina Sales acquired the Efamol agency locally and Efamol became the first and best selling evening primrose oil capsule on the South African market.
In 1987, Peppina Sales began to develop, sell and market their own brands and began with Prosana Hair and Nail Booster and Epasan Omega-3. In 1995 Richard Asman joined the business concentrating on Aviz, the manufacturing arm of the business, manufacturing creams, lotions and soaps. AMB Marketing was started to sell and market skincare products, gels and soaps.
Heading both companies today is CEO and Pharmacist Richard Asman. Richard has been involved in the pharmaceutical industry for 20 years and has extensive experience in retail, manufacturing and sales.
Diane Rosslee, a partner in the business, heads up Marketing and Sales. Diane is a Pharmacist with a B.Comm and has been in the pharmaceutical industry for 20 years with experience in manufacturing, sales and marketing.
