Educating parents and teachers about dealing with children that have been diagnosed with ADHD is something that we prioritise greatly.
One of the methods that we use to do this is by partnering with renowned Educational Psychologist, Jane Jarvis, co-author of The Manual That Never Came With Your Child. Jane facilitates interesting and informative workshops that are held at various venues during the year.
On The 31st January Jane spoke to some parents and teachers at The Dainfern Country Club. The following evening she spoke to parents and teachers at St. Benedict's Preparatory School in Edenvale.
Topics covered in these two talks included: Establishing good morning and evening routines, dealing effectively with homework, feeding your brain well, getting organised and many more.
Here are some of the feedback comments that we received from those two talks:

A wonderful workshop. Had so many "wow" moments realising what I need to do to ease the ruch and "fighting" trying to get things done. Just a pity not enough books - cant wait to get one. Thank you!
A very informative talk, a lot of very good tips that can make my and my family's daily life (routine) easier. Thank you!
I have learnt a lot about this especially being a single parent. I am so glad I have made it to this session. Thank you!
Excellent presentation. Clear and well-put. Could have been divided into two talks. Would have liked more detail on both "self esteem" and "routine".
Valuable back to basics info. Very interesting and informative. Learning experience for parents. Thank you!
